xdpyinfo: unable to open display

Hi,

Can any one help me in doing this setting .

If i fire this command i am getting this error.

xdpyinfo -display koelssb1.koel.co.in:0.0
xdpyinfo: unable to open display "koelssb1.koel.co.in:0.0"..

Since i am not a linux admin i am not able to understand properly what needs to be done on this .

I have set the display like export DISPLAY=MYIP:0.0

But still i have problem .
