Xades BES signingtime attribute

Hello, everybody.

I am trying to sign an xml document usingxades bes format.

ETSI documentation say that signingtime element - which is part of SignedProperties - is type xsd:datetime.

I want to ask how do i produce the value of signingtime element ??

Just by using a java.util.Date object or there is somethnig else (timestamp server ??) ??
