I am relatively new to the Sun platform so forgive any ignorance. I have several Sun X4100 M2 (x86) servers which I am unable to get any video through to a external monitor hooked up to the servers VGA port. I am able to connect to the service processor via putty on a laptop connected to the serial management port. Am also able to set a IP and view ILOM through the NETMGT port, but am not able to get any video out via the VGA port.
So at this point I am not able to get access to BIOS, or an OS. Using the command start /SP/console does nothing as well.
I am inclined to thing there is an actual hardware issue on the main system board itself, but being new I am wondering if there is something else I am overlooking?
Any help would be appreciated.
