2810401Dec 30 2014 — edited Jan 1 2015

Hi All -

Thanks for taking out time and reading this, pardon me if there is already a similar post and please direct me to it.

I am trying to  build my local OIM 11gr2ps2 Vm. I have created a Oracle Linux 6.1 VM, successfully installed java, Oracle DB 11.2.0.1.0, weblogic 10.3.6, successfully ran RCU

I am getting stuck when I am trying to install SOA 11.1.1.7

No matter what I install, it is not helping. I had the exact same issue, at same point with my install with Oracle Linux 6.6 as well.Am I missing something or doing something wrong ?

Below is the error I am getting and not able to  invoke the installer.

[oracle@oim11gr2ps2 Disk1]$ ./runInstaller -jreLoc /usr/java/jdk1.6.0_35

X-Server access is denied on host

[Fatal Error] DISPLAY variable set incorrectly: :0.0

[Resolution] Verify that your DISPLAY environment variable is set correctly,

and that there is an X11 server on the system. If you are

running the Oracle Installer as a different user or on a different host,

you may need to use the xhost command to ensure that host/user

has permission to write to your display.

Below are few result of yum commands showing what I have on the server

[root@oim11gr2ps2 yum.repos.d]# yum list | grep 'X11'

libX11.x86_64                              1.6.0-2.2.el6             @ol6_latest

libX11-common.noarch                       1.6.0-2.2.el6             @ol6_latest

libX11-devel.x86_64                        1.6.0-2.2.el6             @ol6_latest

libX11.i686                                1.6.0-2.2.el6             ol6_latest

libX11-devel.i686                          1.6.0-2.2.el6             ol6_latest

vim-X11.x86_64                             2:7.2.411-1.8.el6         ol6_latest

Please let me know if you need any more info

Any kind of help is really appreciated!!

Thanks!
