Writing to DVD problem

Hi all,
I have a problem writing to my new LG DVD/CD r/w, i have solaris 10 on my x86 pc.
i can write to CDs normally with the same device on solaris, but only DVDs causing me a problem.

bash-3.00# cdrw -iv root.iso
Looking for CD devices...
Initializing device...done.
Preparing to write DVD
Writing track 1...failed.
done.
Finalizing (Can take several minutes)...done.

PLease help.
