WRH$_SQLTEXT need conversion status from DMU ver 19

User_RVV1VMar 10 2020

Good afternoon everyone,

I am currently working on the database migration character set to Unicode using DMU tool ver 19. After trying to clean all the exception hinting from migration status and migration database scan report, I still have some block issue that prevent convert step.

The issue comes from oracle-maintained schema (specific to SYS schema). Opening database scan report with option "With Some Issues", it returns table SYS.WRH$_SQLTEXT has an issue (Need Conversion issue in data dictionary).

My plan is to truncate that table WRH$_SQLTEXT but I am worried about the impacts after this action. Will it lead to down performance of the database server? In addition, I have read section D.11 on MOS, it said that we can " recreate the Automatic Workload Repository just before doing the conversion". Again, I am confused what the impacts are if I recreated the AWR. For my understanding, I can create the base snapshot and the AWR will have specific retention days (default is 7 days) in which it will restart to collect the statistic data after that duration.

Please share your thoughts on this topic, and if there are any online documents, please help me to share so that I can understand before proceeding this cleaning step.

Thanks
