Workspace login issues
887504Nov 30 2011 — edited Dec 26 2011Hello! Approximately two weeks ago, I attempted to log into the admin account of my self-created workspace in Oracle 11g APEX. I was prompted to change my password, which I did by typing my old password into the Old Password text box, and copying/pasting it to the New Password and Retype New Password text boxes. According to my understanding, Oracle is hypothetically supposed to reject previously used passwords, but the workspace (and entire Oracle install) is mostly for educational purposes, so I've always reused the same passwords when prompted to change, and Oracle has played along. However, since this recent password "change," I have been unable to log into the account. When I attempt to do so, I receive the Invalid Login Credentials error message. I also receive this message when I try to log into the developer account of the same workspace. I can log into the admin account of my INTERNAL workspace without any issues. On two different occasions since the incident, I tried to use the Reset Password function, but I never received the expected e-mail with further instructions (checked Inbox and Spam folders).
Has anyone ever experienced this strange problem, or does anyone have suggestions for troubleshooting? I would like to regain access to this workspace as opposed to just whipping up a new one, as I had some saved SQL and PL/SQL stored in it.
Also, where does one go to adjust settings so that periodically resetting passwords is not required, and is this done in the INTERNAL workspace or on the individual workspace level?
Finally, on a separate note, where does one to go adjust settings so that your APEX session does not expire due to inactivity, and is this done in the INTERNAL workspace or on the individual workspace level?
Thanks in advance for your help!
