Essential Energy has implemented several product enhancements to support higher transaction volumes and streamline user navigation by reducing interaction complexity. It is recommended that Oracle evaluate the adoption of these enhancements within the core product and partner with Essential Energy on continuous improvement initiatives. One of these enhancements is: Works Planning Portal
A portal that can provide all the information required by works programmer to plan and package the work, all from one location. This portal will be used to view, record and update programming information relating to WACS Work Order and Activities in a single database within WACS. Allowing users to complete these actions on an individual basis or on mass. The functionality this would include is as follows:
- Quick views of Work Order and Activities requiring action.
- Quick views of Work Order completion percentages.
- Ability to search miscellaneous Work Orders and Activities.
- Ability to view Work Orders and Activity details.
- Ability to update Work Order and Activity Details in bulk.
- Functionality to allow WACS to drive automated email notifications at different stages
This would prevent users from going through multiple WACS portals and screens and reduce the time taken by works programmers to do their day-to-day work via one portal
