Infrastructure Software

Hi all,

I have no idea where this topic belongs so I just thought I'd put it in the general section! I appologize if this isn't the right place.

I was just after some advice really onto what to do about getting a job working with Solaris systems and Sun hardware.

I am kind of new to Sun's and the Solaris operating system but since I bought a little test network for home including a Sun 72" Rack and a few servers I am experimenting and getting to know it.

I have mainly Linux background working with it for several years, and a few years ago when I was at university studying Electronic Engineering we had Solaris and Red Hat servers where we used to SSH into all the time and run CLI based apps.

Basicaly now that the economic situation is so bad and many people loosing jobs, I'm nearly finished with my studies (Cisco CCNA currently) and ready to fall into the thick of what seems to be a void where jobs are concerned.

Has anyone got any ideas or advice as to how to look for jobs engineering Solaris systems?

Since the purchass of my lab kit I have really enjoyed working with the servers and got many services to work including SMTP mail relay, reverse proxy with Squid, primary and secondary authoritative DNS, Sun Ray services for use with my Sun Ray client, etc.

I know that this question my seem a little odd but I'm really not sure of where else to ask. I'm not sure that enquiring at Sun will do any good either as I don't think they have any vacancies but what their site claims in both the countries of which I am a national of (Uk and Turkey).
