WMI Start/Stop

I am seeing WMI Performance starting and stopping about every 15 seconds in the even log on W2003 server. I have seen references that it might be Oracle related. However, I don't see any resolution on how to stop this behavior or at least make the interval in hours instead of seconds. (Oracle 10g)

Help would really be appreciated.
