WKA node changes

604527Mar 4 2008 — edited Mar 5 2008
Hello Everyone

We are planning on running Coherence on Amazon's EC2 which means that I have to use WKA to configure Coherence. My question is when a node dies for whatever reason, and a new one is brought up in its place it will have a different IP address from the pervious node. Can this new node join a cluster using WKA's in some fashion? Also along similar lines would it be possible to add a server to and existing cluster using WKA? I was thinking one approach would be to use some DNS trickery to solve the issue of nodes having IP addresses changed and potentially having "spare" DNS names in the WKA configuration to allow you to add additional nodes over time but that seems to be a bit clunky. Any suggestions?

thanks
tim
