Without networking after kernel upgrade on a HVM

733736Jan 19 2012 — edited Jan 20 2012
Hi,

on OVM2.2 we are testing machines with SL6X/CentOS6X/RHEL6X.

With PVMs there are no problems.
On HVMs, after installing for instance a SL6.0 and upgrading its kernel from 2.6.32-71 to 2.6.32-131.2.1 or 2.6.32-220.2.1, after reboot the machine the network is not loaded. Below is the configuration with the kernel 2.6.32-71:

[root@picmon06 ~]# lsmod

But on the updated server the realtek drivers is not loaded.

Any idea?
