Hello,
Without using the broker, and without the command ALTER DATABASE COMMIT TO SWITCHOVER TO STANDBY, is there a way to ensure 100% full and final replication of your latest transaction from primary with just the following:
ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE CANCEL;
(or COMMIT) ?? (once all applications and client sessions have completed and there's no more activity in the database)
Or is the only way to ensure both databases are perfectly sync'd to use ALTER DB COMMIT TO SWITCHOVER TO STBY (or SWITCHOVER command in dgmgrl) ?
Thanks.
