Windows Server In-Place Upgrade

Hi All,

We are on Hyperion 11.1.2.3.500 on Windows 2008 R2

One of my Windows Administrator suggesting for In-place upgrade of Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2. What is the best methodology to upgrade the Server OS?

1) New OS install with Hyperion Re-Installation or

2) In-Place OS upgrade

Please suggest.
