Windows 7 - cannot change tnsnames.ora Access Denied.

Leo RajanMay 4 2010 — edited Aug 1 2013
Hi,
I did successfully installed Oracle 11g R2 client 64-bit on a Windows 7 64-bit machine using an administrator account. When I modified the tnsnames.ora manually and tried to save the changes, I am getting "access denied" error.

I also gone through properties of Oracle Home directory and re-applied "full" access on all Oracle Home and its sub-directories. Still I am not allowed to do any changes on any file I guess under this Oracle Home.

This is the first time I am installing on Windows 7. Please help me to fix this issue.

Thanks
Leo.
