Windows 2000 Clients: MS Java VM prohibits connection

807578Mar 10 2007 — edited Mar 15 2007
As we've rolled out SGD, it's turned out that most of our "Cannot Connect" calls have been from clients with this configuration:

-Windows 2000 pro
-Microsoft Java VM (comes standard with Win2000)
-No sun java

In this configuration, the "pls use a java enabled browser" does NOT come up and the user just hangs at the "Loading" screen for several minutes getting frustrated.

Is there anyway we can modify the loading screen so that it recognizes this problem and reports useful information back to the user?
