Wich index should i choose for a historical partitioned table?

Hi all, Im running a historical database storing data since 2004, the performance was quite bad so i have decided to make partitions by range using the date field.
my question is wich kind of indexes should i use? global,?¿¿ local,?¿?¿?prefixed,??non-prefixed?¿?¿?
