Wi-Fi Connection - sockets in PDA

843790Apr 4 2008 — edited Apr 4 2008
Hello! I am Cristi from Romania.

I don't have a PDA yet, but I am wondering how to connect a PDA to a PC using Wi-Fi connection (suppose that PDA and PC have Wi-Fi cards).

I will go to network settings in PC and PDA and assign manually IP and so on...and make default connection Wi-Fi.

I will create 2 applications: server - that resides on the PC and listen on a port; client - midlet, that connects to server. So, I will create a midlet (PDA must support MIDP 2.0) and try to make a socket connection to the IP:port of the PC server application that listen on the specified port. But I must be sure to use Wi-Fi connection instead of GPRS or other PDA connection when creating the socket in midlet.

If somebody have succeded a issue like this or has any relevant idea, please help me.

Best regards!
