Why we use CLIENT_GET_FILE_NAME for select a directory?

Noor ul HudaMay 16 2014 — edited May 20 2014

Hello everyone,

I am recently switched to Oracle 10g from Oracle 6i where I changed CLIENT_GET_FILE_NAME() in place of GET_FILE_NAME(). When I have to select a directory I pass SELECT_FILE parameter as => FALSE. But my dialog box appear as I am selecting a file, showing selection of File Type on the bottom of the dialog box, although it select a directory.

Also, when I double click this folder it opens it and do not selects it as it does in Oracle 6i. I want the dialog box appear as it appears in Oracle 6i (GET_FILE_NAME()) where it show dialog box for folder selection only.

Any solution to this problem?

Regard,

Noor ul Huda
