Why to use xml ,sax api ,?

Dear friends

1> Can u please tell me why to use xml instead of html. When the developement is
easy & fast in html, then why peoples are going for xml.

2> Please tell me role of SAX api in relevence to XML.

3>What is difference between DOM & SAX.?

If possible spare few seconds to write to me.
