Hello Oracle Gurus

Below is the OS timezone and date information

-bash-4.1$ cat /etc/redhat-release

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4 (Santiago)

-bash-4.1$ date

Fri Sep 11 16:57:20 EET 2015

-bash-4.1$ ls -lt /etc/localtime

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 Sep 11 15:44 /etc/localtime -> /usr/share/zoneinfo/Africa/Cairo

Below is the Database 11g R2 v11.2.0.2.0 information

SQL> SELECT SYSTIMESTAMP,SYSTIMESTAMP at time zone 'EET',SYSTIMESTAMP at time zone 'UTC' from dual;

SYSTIMESTAMP                         SYSTIMESTAMPATTIMEZONE'EET'               SYSTIMESTAMPATTIMEZONE'UTC'

Here as per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_European_Time EET has to be UTC+02

but as per above oracle sql it's showns as UTC+03.

It would appreciate to give us direction to resolved above issue.

let me know if any more information required

Regards
