Why Socket operation timed out before it could be completed ?

Hi,

Help me pls.
Calling the long-running web-service from my client java application, I get error message java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Socket operation timed out before it could be completed. This message appears 10 minutes after calling web-service (Service is still running at this moment).
Web-service application and my client application both are deployed at the same WebSphere application server.
What tuning of application server is to increase this timeout? Or maybe sombody can offer any other ways to resolve problem?
