Why sessions are created with sys$users service?

orausernMay 23 2009 — edited Jun 11 2009
Hi,

We have oracle 10g (10.2.0.3.) on Solaris 8 and j2ee application using it. I am seeing several end user sessions connected to the datbase in v$session , for which the service_name is sys$users. I dont' know why this service should be used. The program through which the users are connected is JDBC Thin Client. So they should connect to the database service ,if I am not wrong. Why they are connected as SYS$USERS is my doubt.

Thanks
