Hi all,

I am newbie DBA and totally confused while reading about recovery.

Why open DB using RESETLOGS option after performing either complete or PITR with a backup control file?

Using so what will happen after we open DB using resetlogs in above mentioned recovery mode ....apart from resetting the log sequence to 1?
