Why Java Swing is Very Complicated?

843806Mar 27 2008 — edited Mar 29 2008
Dear Sun and Everybody,

I am addicted using Java for many years. I am also a big fan of Java. However, I still have lots of questions about Swing in Java. If we use Swing for a simple application, it is OK, but if it is for a big project, for example for a company, Swing will make us head arch. It is extremely complicated to use and make it right whereas GUI in MS Visual C# or VB are fairly easier.

One more thing about the IDE, every Java programmers have different ideas about IDE. Some uses Eclipse while some uses Netbeans (including me!). I feel Netbeans always try to simplify the Swing problem but it could be different to Eclipse or other IDEs. They don't have any standards.

I'm wondering if there is any solution to solve the Swing problem.

Please help me to clarify all of these.

Thanks in advance.
