Why is Google Chrome not supported in Apex?

StewStrykerMar 13 2009 — edited Jun 10 2009
I saw this listed in the V3.2 release notes.

Does anyone know if there are specific issues with Chrome, or is it just a matter of not wanting to try to support too much? Not that I think many people really use it yet (or ever?).

My limited experience running my Apex applications via Chrome has been flawless, but we're about to release to production with outside users, so I can't control what browsers they come in with. Or should I put a conditional test on the front page to check their browser for something other than FireFox and IE?

Does anyone know of specific issues with Chrome, particularly in running an application(versus developing)?

Thanks,

Stew

p.s. I'm not trying to bash Chrome. It's a nice idea and decent implementation for what it does. If it was compatible with RoboForm, I'd use it regularly.
