Why File Adapter and FTP Adapter are called Non-Transactional

1062147Jul 23 2014 — edited Jul 23 2014

Hi,

In Oracle SOA Suite meaning of “Non-Transactional services” are the services that does not modify data. This is what i have read on internet but still this dose not justify because in Oracle doc it is mention that :

Following Adapter are Transactional : DB Adapter, JMS Adapter, AQ, MQ adapters, Oracle App Adapter

Following Adapter are Non-Transactional : File Adapter, FTP Adapter.

Now according to meaning of “Non-Transactional resource” it should not modify data but I can see operations are same in JMS Adapter and File Adapter also Read and Write

In FTP Adapter also I can see similar operation Get and Put.

Maybe I am not getting correct meaning of Non-Transactional term or maybe I am misunderstanding its meaning.

Please clarify me why File Adapter and FTP Adapter are called Non-transactional compared to other adapters

Thanks.
