Why dosn't my browser show the uploaded file?

843836Aug 17 2003 — edited Aug 17 2003
I'm trying to get my browser to open my attachment inside a new browser window.

I have a servlet who read an attachment from a mail.

Here what happens:

I choose my attachmentlink in the browser. The link looks like this.

<IMG border = "0" src="<std:url url='/images/icon_pdf.gif' useFC='false'/>">
<br><bean:write name="filename"/>

The AttachmentServlet starts and show the dialogue to open/save my ducument. At the same time a new bowser opens with the correct link to my attachment. My browser is empty.

When I select to open the file (pdf or word), my new browser closes and MSWord or Acrobate Reader open as a stadalone application with my attachment uploaded correctly.

I'm usering IE 5.5 and Tomcat 4.0 and JBoss. I upload other files inside a browser so why dosn't this one work.

Hope someone understands whats missing here... :-)
