Why create a PRIMRY KEY on a VIEW?

user12240205Dec 28 2016 — edited Dec 28 2016

I just found something new today.  I accidently found a view in the USER_CONSTRAINTS DD view which has a PRIMARY KEY.

Then after reading about views I found out that you can in-fact create primary keys for views.

But none of the documentation says WHY we should do that?? What is the advantage or use of creating a PRIMARY KEY on a view?
