I was recommended to ask this question here by someone on StackOverflow, as it's causing a work stoppage and more than one of the team I am on is affected.
I'm working on a project using Entity Framework wherein I must create new Oracle tables, edit others, and then update the EF model with the changes. I have confirmed the machine being used has both Oracle 10 and 12 clients, and can connect with SQL Developer or TOAD for Oracle to edit the database with no issues. I have also confirmed the connection string is correct and using the appropriate login in the project. However, when I attempt to propagate the changes to the EDMX, I cannot select the option to do so:
I've tried reinstalling Oracleclient, reinstalling ODT on both VS 2017 and VS 2019 (both are affected), and worked with other developers on the team and none of us have seen this issue before. What could be causing this, and how do I fix it? My work is on hold until I can get the EDMX updated.
