Why 'alter database tempfile ... maxsize unlimited' doesn't work?

MorvenJun 19 2011 — edited Jun 19 2011
Hi,

Oracle 11gr2 enterprise, windows server 2008 64bit.
--
after executed 'alter database tempfile 'D:\ORACLE\ORADATA\MH\TEMP01.DBF' autoextend on maxsize unlimited;' , i found that the maxsize is still 32G, why? is it a limitation of operation system?

how can i make the tempfile bigger than that? to add another tempfile? how to write this 'alter' command to add another file?

thank you so much!
