Which version of jre is best

Hi

In our company we are creating a handheld device with linux os i want to place the jre with the device and run some application. So which version of jre is best to load on the device. Right now the device has only 32MB flash memory. whether the J2ME jre is best to load on the device or some other. If u know about this give me some idea to implements. If u know from where i want to download the jre give me the path .
