Which version of ActiveSync compatabile with Windows CE 5.0

Dears,
I'm currently evaluating the product runing Windows CE 5.0. I'm trying to know what is version of ActiveSync that can be installed on my windows XP / vista laptop that is compatible with this device. I need this as I'm working in a proof of concept and would like to install Oracle 10g lite client 10.3.0.2.0 on this device, but it requires ActiveSync software.
As per Oracle getting started documentation [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12095_01/doc.10302/e12080/preinstall.htm#CBHIIFJA] section 3.8.1.2 for other software requirements, it is mentioning ActiveSync version 3.8 or higher

But:
I have seen lots of references mentioning that the windows CE 5.0 doesn't have ActiveSync version supported:
