We got an ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (800) exceeded error in one of our database. This is the first time we encountered this and I am trying to investigate further in order to determine what could have caused the issue. I was able to see the spike in the number of processes during the time it happened but is there a way to know what was consuming all the processes or the most number of processes during the time frame it happened and what SQL statement was being run?
Please see below. The last row shows 690 processes were used but is there a way to know what was using the most processes during that time and what SQL was being run by that process?Appreciate your help!
