Which to choose?CMP or BMP

I learn EJB for a short time.And what I use now is BMP.
I nerver user CMP.It seems CMP is more concise than BMP.It uses less code.
Can anyone tell me the difference between CMP and BMP?How to choose it?Is there any rules?
