Which IP plays vital role users to get connectivity to the database ?

Dear Experts,

I want to know one thing about  users connectivity for RAC Database

User connectivity (sessions) are created using VIP or  Public IP.

>> Someone told me , how user connectivity is established for RAC databases

With the help of Public IP -> we can connect to the server.

To establish a connection to the database --> Oracle is always using Public (VIP) .. i.e VIP (virtual IP).

Public IP is not used to establish a connection.

I am getting bit confused.

What I think using public IP all  user connectivity is established to the Oracle Database..

Thanks
