Where to install Oracle GoldenGate?

Hi all!

In order to CONSOLIDATE data from 5 databases (3 MS SQL server and 2 Oracle servers) into a single Oracle DB where Oracle GoldenGate should be installed?

The "Installing and Configuring Oracle GoldenGate for SQL Server" states:

"To capture from a source Microsoft SQL Server database, Oracle GoldenGate must be installed on the database server. Do not install it on a remote server."

However is not clear for me which one is the 'remote server'. Is it the MS SQL Server?

Also to copy data from the 2 Oracle servers where OGG should be installed? In the source servers or in the target server?
