when-window-activated vs when-new-form-instance

Hi

We are forms10g R2. I note that many people have asked about inconsistent behaviour with when-window-activated. I was unable to determine any clear outcome to these questions.

I have listed three questions, but all relate to similar topic so have included in same post.

1. My form has both when-new-form-instance and when-window-activated. The documentation on when-window-activated says will fire at form startup, but this is not occurring, only when-new-form-instance fires. Any ideas?

2. When call another form and return to form, when-window-activated fires in most cases, but not all. Appears to be something about error status in called form.

3. Is anybody aware of existence of Oracle Forms Reference Manual that contained flowcharts showing event and trigger processing order. I remember these back in Forms 3 and Forms 4.5. The same concept still exists, but I cannot locate this kind of documentation. I am interested in trigger order, but this was always handy reference material.

Thanks
