When-validate-item trigger vs Validate from list property

Hello,

Is there a way to fire when-validate-item before the LOV to be automatically raised - due to property Validate from list set to YES?

I have some conditions that must stay in the list of values record group, and some other conditions that should be checked first and if not met, they should raise an error.

Any idea how I could implement this?
