What would be the safest way to rotate MySQL Slow Query Logs and bin logs in MySQL without stopping

Hi,

What would be the safest way to rotate/delete MySQL Slow Query Logs and bin logs in MySQL Community Version '5.1.68' on Linux RHEL Server. I Have currently 2 bin log files and 1 slow query file of 1GB each and it is starting to take too much data space on the server.
