what should be focused while reading the AWR report

Hi Team,

I am a beginner, Recently we ran into a performance issue where in query ran for 3 hours but as earlier it was running in14 min . B the ut anyhow when it completed

all suggested me to look into AWR report to find the problem..

Its little complicated to read the AWR report . Can any one suggest me the below

1) best way to read the AWR report

2) what sections should one be more focussed on

3) what are wait events
