What Oracle Identity Management could substitute Oracle Portal External App

Hi

We are currently migrating to the latest Oracle Portal version. We can upgrade to Oracle Access Manager but it seems that this would disable the External Application functionality that we use. Is there a component in Oracle Identity Management that fulfills this functionality. Are there any migration paths?
