What kind of storage-dedicated server is better for distributed-scheme caches?

Plan 1: Use 6 storage-dedicated servers, each of them has 32GB memory.
Plan 2: Use 24 storage-dedicated servers, each of them has 8GB memory.

Which plan is better?
