What is the use of "JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date)" in ODI 11G

hi,

We can filter the Journalized data in "JKM Oracle Consistent" knowledge module in where condition on updated_date or Last_date column it self.
So what is the use of Knowledge module "JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date)" in ODI 11G.

Please let me know if any more clarifications required.
