What is the purpose of "Approve Multiple Assets" option while bulk publishing ?

PraveenKMOct 16 2014 — edited Dec 9 2014

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me the purpose of "Approve Multiple Assets" option that is available in Publishing option.

I know it is a very basic question but why i am asking this is , As the name suggest we can approve multiple assets at a time and we can publish it to the destination , also there is an additional option that we can select while doing this process i.e., "Approve Previously Approved Assets" .

What i observed is by selecting the option as YES for the above option , the previously approved assets should appear in the publishing queue but its not happening .

For Ex : If i have 10 templates among which 6 template where previously approved and published , now upon selecting the above option with value yes , my expectation is that all 10 templates should again appear in the publishing queue but instead i see only 4 templates(which were not approved previously) that comes into the publishing queue.

Is there any option to get all the templates again in the publishing queue ?

Currently the only option i have seen is to edit save all the 6 templates and again approve it and then publish it which, can become a very hectic process if the number of templates increases gradually in future.

Thanks in advance,

Praveen
