What is the difference between Forms 10g and Oracle Apps Forms?

Hi all,

I am new to Oracle R12. For the past 1 year I have been going thru Oracle Apps Components.

I couldn't exactly figure out the differences between Forms 10g and Oracle Apps Forms , except Template usage.

When I googled it, it shows Server side and client side kinda differences. But I want to exactly know in Triggers and Built-In wise.

Is there any set of properties/triggers/built-in which will work in Forms 10g , but not in Oracle Apps Forms and vice-versa?

Some ppl say Open-Form/Call-Form/New-Form commands wont work in Apps Forms. Is it so?

I want that kinda informations. Can anyone help or If there's any documentation in that , can anyone share?
