What is the best way to backup the 8 TB Oracle database?

Hi,
We are using RMAN to backup our 8 TB database. But as db grows it taking much more time to finish the backups.
Hence we have change the policy or backing it up, we take L0 on weekend and only take archive log backups every day (We can not afford to have daily L1 backups and it crosses the deadline).

Any best way to speed up this, so that we can have L0 and L1, so that we could decrease the restore time in case its needed.
