What is needed on iPaq w/Windows CE

What is needed for running Java apps with applet code (or swing) on an iPaq with Windows CE. Just Personal Java VM? Or does it also require J2ME and a configuration(CDC or CDLC) and a profile(MIDP or Foundation with Personal/RMI)? Where is the install matrix for all this.
