What is Integrated SOA Gateway?

Hello,

I was asked to work on building a POC for Oracle E-Business Suite Integrated SOA Gateway. From what I understand this will be an integration(connection) between a SOA Instance and an EBS instance where in we can access the data present in SOA Instance through a responsibility in EBS and vice versa. Please suggest me to what extent I was correct and guide me to the right direction.
