What happens to table space size when we delete/Truncate tables?

Hi Gurus,

   I am trying to understand about the table space size when we delete rows from a table or truncate?

   Does oracle release table space when we delete/truncate table automatically?

   When we issue DML, oracle maintain redo logs.Once we commit our DML, is there a way to recover to previous state?
